A manually installed or migrated WordPress website may need to be detected before WP Toolkit can manage it.
- Open WP Toolkit: cPanel → Domains → WP Toolkit or Plesk → WordPress.
- Select Scan.
- Allow the scan to finish.
- Review the detected installations.
Scanning searches for existing WordPress installations available to the selected account or subscription. Confirm that you are viewing the account containing the site. It does not perform a fresh installation and is not intended to replace website content.
When scanning is useful
- WordPress was installed manually.
- A WordPress site was migrated into the account.
- WordPress files were moved to another location.
- An installation was previously detached from WP Toolkit.
If a valid installation still does not appear, verify that its files are complete, that wp-config.php is present, and that the database connection works. Do not install a second copy of WordPress over an existing site simply because it is not detected.
