WP Toolkit can create a restore point before certain operations so the specific change can be rolled back if it causes a problem.
When WP Toolkit offers Restore Point before a WordPress core update or data-copy operation, leaving it enabled provides an additional recovery option.
Restore from a restore point
- Open WP Toolkit: cPanel → Domains → WP Toolkit or Plesk → WordPress.
- Find the affected installation.
- Locate the restore-point controls.
- Choose the restore action and confirm the rollback.
Each WordPress installation can have only one WP Toolkit restore point at a time. Creating a new restore point replaces the previous one.
Restore-point data also consumes disk space. Once the site is verified and the rollback is no longer needed, the restore point can be removed.
Changes after the operation
Later changes to the target installation can prevent restoration from a restore point. Do not treat a restore point as guaranteed rollback protection. Keep a separate backup before copying data or making updates, and avoid unrelated changes until you have checked the result.
