cPanel separates domain management from DNS record management. In Jupiter, use cPanel → Domains → Domains to add and manage domains, subdomains, document roots, and HTTPS redirects, and use Zone Editor to manage DNS records. Meridian places website, domain, SSL, DNS, and related website tasks primarily in its Websites hub.
Interface note: This pack may use Jupiter-style paths because cPanel continues to support Jupiter and some newer domain functions are Jupiter-only. In Meridian, use the Websites hub or the named command when the function is exposed there.
Common tools
- Domains — add registered or temporary domains and manage existing domains.
- Zone Editor — manage DNS zone records such as A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, SRV, CAA, HTTPS, and SVCB.
- Redirects — create permanent or temporary URL redirects.
- Dynamic DNS — map a cPanel-hosted hostname to an external network whose IP address changes, when the feature is enabled.
- DNSSEC — manage DNSSEC keys for eligible domains when supported by the server and domain registrar.
Domain registration itself is normally handled by a registrar or hosting-provider store. cPanel 138 can optionally expose provider-enabled domain recommendations and purchasing from the Jupiter Domains interface, but checkout is handled by the configured provider store rather than by cPanel acting as the registrar.
