cPanel separates the AI Assistant chat capability from AI Assistant Actions in Feature Manager. The Actions feature allows the assistant to perform supported changes on the account when enabled.
cPanel's version 138 documentation gives creation of an email account as an example of a simple action the assistant can complete. The user must approve the change before the assistant performs it.
Safe workflow
- Ask the assistant for the desired task.
- Read the proposed action and values carefully.
- Confirm that the selected domain, account, or other target is correct.
- Approve the action only when the requested change matches your intent.
If Actions are disabled, the assistant may still be able to explain how to complete a task manually.
Approval cards in newer versions
AI Assistant 1.91-1 groups a multi-step change into one ordered approval plan, valid for up to 24 hours. Read the entire plan and its targets before approving. Informational questions do not require a change approval.
Version 2.03-1 generates new-account passwords on the server and shows them once. Save the credential securely when offered; do not expect to recover it from the conversation later.
