Choose recovery protection for the data you are about to change. These tools have different scopes and should not be treated as interchangeable.

  • cPanel Backup: provides account and partial-backup options. Verify which data your chosen archive contains. A full-account archive is not a promise of one-click full-account restoration from the customer interface.
  • WP Toolkit backup: protects the selected WordPress installation rather than every website or mailbox in the account. Check the available backup and restore controls for that installation.
  • WP Toolkit restore point: is operation-specific protection with retention and restoration limitations, not a replacement for an independent backup.
  • Sitejet restore point: can recover the previous non-Sitejet website when one existed and a restore point was created before publishing.

Before a change, identify the required files, database, and any separately managed mail or configuration. Verify your recovery method and keep important backup copies in protected storage separate from the live website.
