Links can point to another page, a section, an external website, an email address, or a telephone number.
Steps
- Select the button or other element and open its link settings. For text, select the words and use the text editor's link control.
- Choose the appropriate destination type. Select an internal page or element from the available controls where possible.
- For an external website, enter the complete intended URL and check its spelling.
- Review whether the link opens in the same tab or a new tab. Use meaningful linked text rather than a vague instruction.
- Save, preview, and publish through the hosting integration.
Check the result
Test each link from the public page. Check section links on mobile and confirm that email and phone links invoke the expected application.
Before you continue
Do not place secret tokens or private document addresses in public links. Linking to a file does not control who can download it; the destination needs its own access protection.
