Fixing a Missing Page or Broken Link in Sitejet Print

Start with the exact failing URL. A broken navigation link does not necessarily mean the page or project was deleted.

Steps

  1. Find the page in the builder’s page navigation and inspect its current path and language. Preview that page directly.
  2. If its direct URL works but a menu or button fails, inspect the element’s link target. Prefer a page selection for an internal page instead of an outdated pasted address.
  3. If the path was renamed, update old internal links and plan a redirect for previously shared URLs using the controls available in your hosting integration.
  4. Publish the corrected project and test both the direct page and its navigation link outside the editor.
  5. If every published page fails, check that the domain reaches the intended hosting account and publication destination before recreating individual pages.

Check the result

The current link should open the intended page. Where an old URL must remain usable, test its redirect separately and check that it does not loop.

Before you continue

A custom 404 design only changes the error page’s appearance. It does not repair the missing destination or make an obsolete address a valid content page.
