Pages suit content such as services, an about page, or contact information. They can have parent pages and are separate from dated blog posts.
Steps
- In the WordPress Dashboard, open Pages and choose the add-new control.
- Enter a descriptive title and add the page content using the editor available on the site.
- Review the page address, parent page, and template where those settings are offered.
- Save a draft and preview the page at different screen sizes.
- When the content and visibility are correct, publish the page and add it to navigation if needed.
Check the result
Open the public page in a signed-out browser and test its links, images, and forms.
Before you continue
Creating a page does not guarantee it will appear in a custom menu. Avoid changing an established page address without planning redirects and updating internal links. Your user role may require an editor or administrator to publish content you have drafted.
