A pending-review status lets an editorial team distinguish a completed draft from content ready for publication. Available actions depend on the user’s capabilities.
Steps
- Finish the draft and preview its text, links, media, categories, and proposed publication settings.
- Use Submit for Review when that action is offered. If you can choose a status directly, select the site’s pending-review state and save.
- Verify the post’s status in the Posts list. A saved draft alone may not enter the review queue.
- A reviewer with the required access can filter for pending content, inspect the draft, and make the editorial decision.
- After any requested changes, save the revised content and follow the same review workflow before publication.
Check the result
Confirm that the item appears under the intended status. Check the public page only after an authorized editor publishes it.
