A favicon is the small website icon used in browser tabs and bookmarks. A simple symbol usually remains clearer than a full wordmark.

Steps

  1. Prepare a square icon with a recognizable shape and sufficient contrast at a small size.
  2. Open More → Website Settings and locate Favicon.
  3. Upload the icon and review the preview. Replace or remove the old icon using the available controls if necessary.
  4. Save the project and publish it through the hosting integration.
  5. Open the public site in a fresh browser session and inspect its tab icon.

Check the result

The intended icon should appear without an awkward crop. Check both light and dark browser chrome where practical.

Before you continue

Browsers can retain favicons longer than ordinary page content. If the old icon remains, verify the published project first, then test a fresh session before uploading repeated replacements. A favicon setting is separate from the logo displayed inside the page.
