How to Redirect an Old Sitejet Page Address Print

When a page moves, a redirect helps visitors using its old address reach the replacement. Redirect controls differ between Sitejet Studio and hosting-panel integrations.

Steps

  1. Record the old path and test the complete replacement URL. Choose the closest relevant destination.
  2. In Sitejet Studio, open the builder’s main menu, select Redirect, and add a rule. In a cPanel or Plesk integration, use the hosting platform’s redirect workflow instead.
  3. For Studio, enter only the old path in From, such as /old-page, and the full destination URL in To.
  4. Choose 301 for a permanent move or 302 for a temporary one. Save the rule; the Studio project must be active and its domain correctly configured.
  5. Update your own navigation and internal links to point directly to the new address.

Check the result

Visit the old address in a fresh session and confirm the final URL and page. Check that the destination does not redirect back to the source.

Before you continue

Avoid chains of redirects. A whole-domain redirect is a separate change and can affect every page under that domain.
